AMH6 Hardness Testers
Advance your Hardness Testing
Experience a new level of performance in automated hardness testing. The AMH6 delivers unmatched efficiency and unwavering accuracy, combining precise load applications with real-time analysis to bring lab-grade results to production-speed environments.
Building on LECO’s software-first approach, the AMH6 integrates an intelligent control box, ergonomic workflows, and faster read cycles—ideal for laboratories facing tighter standards, increasingly complex materials, and rising demands for throughput.
Why Choose LECO AMH6

Higher Throughput
The AMH6 platform increases testing efficiency by accommodating multiple samples, odd-shaped parts, and varying geometries. Multi-sample holders and quick-change fixtures reduce setup time and maximize instrument uptime—ideal for labs processing a high volume of microhardness work.

Reliable Repeatability
Self-leveling sample holders and an integrated vibration isolation platform ensure consistent sample alignment and stable indentation conditions. By minimizing movement and environmental interference, the AMH6 helps deliver highly repeatable and traceable hardness results, even with challenging sample types.

Effortless Operation
Ergonomic fixtures, intuitive sample positioning, and easily adjustable holders streamline the preparation process. Stage micrometers and alignment tools help operators achieve precise placement with minimal effort. Whether you’re running a single part or a full tray, the AMH6 makes setup faster and more reliable.

Streamlined Compliance
The AMH6 ensures samples are consistently held, aligned, and controlled—helping your automated microhardness system follow standard test procedures with minimal manual intervention. This creates predictable test conditions that support ASTM- and ISO-compliant indentation work.

How LECO AMH Works
The AMH6 combines precision mechanics, automated force application, and intelligent software control to deliver consistent, repeatable hardness measurements—whether in high‑throughput labs or production environments. At its core, the system applies a controlled test load, creates the indentation, captures it with high‑resolution optics, and performs real‑time measurement and analysis through Cornerstone software.
Automation handles the steps that traditionally introduce operator‑to‑operator variability: force application, dwell time, stage movement, pattern execution, indentation recognition, and data capture. Optional fixtures such as the multi‑sample holder and self‑leveling stage extend the system’s capabilities, enabling efficient handling of multiple samples, uneven surfaces, or unmounted materials (application dependent). The result is a streamlined testing process that minimizes manual intervention while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
