How the TGM800 Works

The TGM800 uses thermogravimetric loss-on-drying (LOD) to measure moisture content with precision. Up to 16 samples are loaded into automatically-tared aluminum crucibles positioned in the multi-sample oven. Once the selected method begins, the oven heats each sample according to programmed temperature ramps, atmosphere, and ventilation rates.

During drying, each crucible is automatically moved to the integrated balance for sequential mass measurements. As moisture leaves the sample, the TGM800 tracks mass loss until a fixed endpoint or mass constancy is reached. Moisture content is then calculated as percent mass loss for every sample.

A built-in touchscreen provides full method control—temperature, ramp rates, atmosphere, ventilation—and displays live drying curves for temperature and mass. With batch capacity and automated weighing, the TGM800 delivers fast, consistent, and highly accurate thermogravimetric moisture results with minimal operator effort.
