Navigating the Challenges of Evolving Feed Stocks

Hydrocarbon type analysis (HTA) has long presented challenges in the context of aviation fuel applications, with traditional ASTM methods often exacerbating these difficulties.

However, recent advancements in comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC), coupled with state-of-the-art detectors like time-of-flight mass spectrometry, have significantly enhanced analytical capabilities in terms of peak capacity, molecular identification, and quantification of trace components.

This webinar will review both historical and contemporary analytical methods used for HTA, with a focus on the evolving challenges associated with achieving accurate identification and quantification for detailed HTA (DHTA) with GCxGC.
