Enhancing Powerful Discovery with Multi-Modal Ion Source

This application note highlights the benefits of LECO’s GC-HRT equipped with the Multi-Mode Source (MMS), enabling complementary EI, positive chemical ionization, and electron capture negative ionization in a single system. Using EPA 8270 MegaMix and organochlorine pesticide standards, the study demonstrates how high-resolution TOF-MS, combined with streamlined ionization switching and ChromaTOF software, enhances analyte identification, reduces matrix interferences, and improves confidence in complex sample characterization.
