This application snapshot demonstrates quantitative depth profile (QDP) analysis of a commercial hard disk on an aluminum alloy substrate using the GDS-850A. Layer composition, including diamond-like carbon, Pt, Co, Cr, and electroless nickel, is measured with high resolution for the first 100 nm and full analysis up to 300 s.
